cold water surfing

I have done the cut the cast off thing before, however the doc say's I have to keep the ear dry or it will get infected and take longer to heal. I will give it another week and see how things go.

"When they say 4-6 weeks out of the water, make it about a week."

It's been 4 weeks since the surgery I went for a check-up yesterday. Doc said come back next week keep the ear dry. I asked if I could wear ear plugs and surf. He said if I don't mind staying out of the water for 6 months to go ahead. This sucks!!!!!!!!!!
