$25,000 for engaged surfer

Postby DTTB » Mon May 14, 2012 6:52 am

Hello,

We're now casting for a new TV show on Channel Ten called "Don't Tell the Bride". The premise is that we give the Groom $25,000 to organise his dream wedding over three weeks with no input from his Bride whatsoever.

If anyone knows a Sydney based Surfer who has just got engaged or is exactly that. Please give me an email to trohr@sstar.com.au or call me on (02) 9464 0839.

Cheers

Bloody great, how to sow, distrust, dissent, and probable divorce even before the marriage
IMO Reality TV is now about setting up people for a fall . An emotional custard pie in the face.
Is the humiliation worth the money?
I'm going to wait and see on this one! EEEEEEEEEK

My missus watches that show over here. I echo the comments about reality TV. However, in fairness, they aren't that intrusive in peoples plans, and paying people 25 grand towards a wedding seems a fair price for televising it. I wouldn't go for it personally (and paid for my own wedding last year), but for some of the people on the show its a godsend. Also, nearly all the ones I've seen actually work out.

It's amazing how easily women are pleased when it comes to weddings, contrary to the stereotypical portrayal of Bridezilla. My missus started out a bit like that, but as the plans came together, anything that didn't look like it would work out got scrapped or turned into a positive.

I suppose it could be a welcome kick in the wallet for the successful couple and the "celebrities" hide their weddngs and only allow the highest paying tabloid to have "the scoop" so I guess all is fair.
Me apart from this and a couple of other forums I don't do facebook twitter or other "social" media. I keeps meself to meself, but then I was born in the first half of the last century :blah: Amazing the changes that have happened.
