I don't really understand what your ideas are, so I can't add to them.
I understand the toilet one, but "garbage bikes for parts" - parts for what? Better bikes?
"Grocery bags for dog poop" what else would you use? Do they have special bags for this?
"Tissue boxes to hold grocery bags", what the ones with dog poop in them? Or is this to stop them sliding round in your car or something?
"backyard composting" are you looking for tips or things to compost?

If you weren't such an oldtimer you'd be shot down in flames for starting such a vague thread!
Explain yourself!!!! :?

Use old grocery bags for trash bags in small office sized trash bags....

Old newspapers and toilet rolls for craft projects for kids (don't have any donate to a daycare/school)

All the sand that you leave in your floorboard of your car... boil it and get it clean and throw it in a fishtank. :)

Oh and the biggest thing... recycling anything you can and turning it into a recycle center.

Topic is not that vague and I like the thought process here and would love to hear more ideas.

That's too far for me.
I'll stand down, you can carry on to the next round of Surfing-Waves Hardman 2009.
I'll meet you when I'm in Houston next year for 2010.

Are the tissue boxes to store the grocery bags? That's actually a better idea than just chucking them under the sink....it means I'd have to buy some tissues, does that defeat the purpose?

I found myself standing with my hand on my heart and a tear in my eye at the end of that speech. Someone get me a flag to salute!
You are a noble victor Mr Hawaii.
