Seriously are there people out there who think £49.50 is reasonable for a plastic fake trucker cap by a company with possibly the stupidest name in history.

Von crutch is one of the banes of my life. i hate it with a burning passion and intend to bring it down single handed. Firstly by making a series of tippexed Von Crutch T-Shirts and caps bought from matalan or some other quality establishment. Secondly i am not sure yet but ishall think of something.

HA! I knew I wasn't alone! I totally agree that the whole plastering-a-name- allover- ur -clothes is a waste of time and money. Yeah selling these products is somewhat important b/c a portion of the proceeds go to supporting our riders on the world tour, sponsoring events, etc. but i think it's gotten a bit out of hand.
I don't know how it goes over in the UK, but here in southern CA, the surfing/skateboarding names are really big. Alot of people who wear these names don't even board! apparently it's just a fad, but this one's been around for a while. it's actually kinda funny, cuz most of the surfers i know can't even afford those clothes, they spend it all on surf gear, gas money to shuttle them to the beach, etc.

haha, i laughed at first when i saw that you guys are writing about vondutch- but reading everything thats been said; i have to say being a very opinionated chick; i had to comment.
Your so very right von dutch haters. its a complete waste of money spending all that money on a hat, that mearly is only cool because the famous paris hilton wears it, and the most handsom men parade around in it.. oh and because its all over the magazines here in NZ, im guessing its all you see on and in UK and US mags.
But having said that, we are all sheep in the clothing department. whats to say that you going out and spending all that money on quicksilver and roxy, ripcurl, rusty etc isnt the same. I know for a fact that because i admire roxy surfers- i want to wear their gear, and i do. im addicted to shopping and thats all i buy- labels. im sure all you guys wear labels seeing as its looks so great on those sponsered surfers. And even tho you probly would say that you dont give a crap, and all u care about is surf- i can say thats more of a lie, than saying vondutch is a rip off. honestly, what isnt a rip off these days. and secretly, if you go to thailand and buy yourself vondutch stuf there for like $5- or 4pound then go home and sell it on the net for around $60 at least ( maybe 70 pound ) and claim that its new and not a fake, youve not only made heaps of money, you have probly proved yourself right, in saying that vondutch is cheap.
i could write forever, but you get my point. everybodys got a come back for everything- sooo ill just wait for everyones to come back at me haha. im completly not on a side, but im keen to write some more.

Von Dutch is the ugliest brand clothing in the world. Whoever designs Von Dutch clothing should be shot and the copy-cat followers are just as stupid. If I’m gonna pay for something expensive, I’d go designer.. if I want to look like everyone else I wouldn’t pay Von Dutch prices.

So to all the “Von Dutch” wearers out there… get a life. And if you’ve got money to spend on clothing, that’s fine, but why waist it on something everyones wearing.. Von Dutch looks cheap anyway.
