Well, we're having home made bonbon patate (potato candy) with strong coffee this morning. The dog wants it, too, but there is too much sugar in it for her. So, she has a rawhide chew. She is on high alert for when it is time to jump into our Isuzu Trooper. She knows boards and wetsuits are loaded and rarely misses an opportunity to go to the beach. We'll be headed for Santa Cruz later for an afternoon surf, assuming surf is up. Presently, it is down.

Merry Christmas!

There was a little bit of everything today at Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz: light rain, heavy rain, brilliant golden sun shine, blue sky, darkest skies, complete rainbow from end to end, small waves, larger waves, cold water otters, all the birds, and only 5 of us this afternoon at 38th Street.

Waves faded at sun down. Went to my Isuzu to find wife and dog napping in it. I was shivering so wife broke out the hot tea, red wine, home made chicken salad, and home made dolmas there in the dark. It couldn't have been better.
