I have a T25 Multivan and it swallows my 8ft minimal. From the back of the drivers seat resting on the buddy seat to over the top of bench seat in the back I still have about 2 ft before the tailgate.
However, best to check the specific variant of the T5 you want as internal configurations can make a difference.

SWB T5 has an internal load of 2.6m and the LWB has one of almost 3m.
