Harvest season...

So whats everyone harvesting and cooking up?

Already produced a load of jams from the tilberrys, Gooseberry and blackcurrants

Big harvest from the Orchard at Heztlet HouseI'm in the mists of cooking up Spiced Apple Butter (like a thick spread/sliceable cheese texture) from the "Irish Peach" desert apples

and the next batch will be shed loads of apple chutney from the various cooking apples from the same orchard.

Smells wicked in the house at the moment :)

With all the wet weather our carrot and parsnips were decimated by slugs and snails.

OK crop of Toms (three varieties) and some decent pears

Northern lights, maui x haze, and some bubba kush.....Harvest season is gonna be a smokin good time round here....... I love the medical pot laws in California.

We had a pretty killer tomato year. But they are ripe somewhere around early July. One day we came in with 2 five gallon buckets full.

Already helped my mum make the raspberry jam, had a really good plum crumble last weekend but no plum jam this year as massive wasp damage to most of the fruit, plus my little dog (despite being 12years old) has learnt to jump up and steal plums off the tree when she thinks no one is looking, thus the lower branches of the tree are strangely bare....
