I used to have a mk1 golf gti :D . It was Y reg, black, 112bhp, 1.6 engine, standard inside and out. Got too expensive at MOT time tho :( .

My first car was '72 k reg vw camper. Burgundy and white. Devon conversion, no lift up roof.

Next was the golf.

Then black e reg Renault 5 gt turbo -120 bhp, standard.

Another 5 turbo g reg. Also black but had tuned engine, 150 bhp-ish, bigger wheels, stainless exhaust.

Then metallic grey '91 h reg Toyota Celica 4wd turbo (aka GT4). Different jap engine (225 bhp) after I blew big end on the old tuned one which had already replaced the original engine after blown head gasket! Still got it now but trying to sort out niggling electrical fault then sell it. - its a long story!

Finally other current car is '95 m reg bmw 318is coupe (140 bhp) in light blue with 17" bmw cross spokes from 328i sport, totally standard otherwise. Bit boring but it never lets me down.

In case you were wondering - yes I am quite into cars :D . Surfing takes priority tho obviously  .

My dream car? V difficult question...

I'd also be interested in the fuel economy/insurance on the VW's? ATM I'v got a Toyota corrola, great fuel economy and never ever breaks down but not a "cool" car so to speak   (first car). Would love a VW van. I'v always wanted a 1965 splitscreen.

I did have a 25 year old 2.8L Mercedes estate. I could fit five 10' longboards on the inside and still have room for plenty of other stuff! Plus it went like a bat out of hell. Sadly it just gave up the will to live and new resides in the big car park in the sky.

Have just bought a Vauxhall Omega Estate instead now - boring as hell and I hate it but again, I can fit the board in there when I'm delivering or collecting from the airport. I just use it as a van really.

If I had a bit more cash I'd go for a late '60s Dodge Charger or Mustang - some retro US muscle car and have it pimped by a hot-rod type place. One day......

Nice bug k mac.
