My hometown is landlocked AND in the desert, so imagine my delight when I moved to the coast and started to surf! It's tricky scene to break into in Seattle, since the Pacific is 2.5 hours away and I haven't yet met anyone to join me out there. Regardless, I get out as much as I can (usually Wesport). And I leave in a few days to to surf along the California coast and soak in as much sunshine as I can!

So, I'm a newbie but I'm hopelessly addicted and I can't wait to meet others who share this awesome passion. Glad to join your community!

Hello everyone! I just joined today and wanted to say hey! I am actually not a surfer yet but have been obsessed with it my whole life. I live about 5 hours from the coast right now but I am going to Fort Lauderdale in October or September to go to school to get my Master Captain's License and after finishing school I will live on the coast . I am planning on taking lessons when I go to Fl. Are there any good spots in Ft. Lauderdale to surf? It's probably nothing like surfing but I do wakesurf behind my Mastercraft.

I'm in here as a visitor really, I'm not a surfer.

I'm writing a novel and I would like to get some bits and pieces for one chapter which involves surfing.
