Back to work today after a week surfing break, only to be told I'm being made redundant. Bummer! :evil:

oh sorry to hear that, it happening to a few people i know at the moment. Looking at using the opportunity to move onto better things but it's always hard at first

Sorry to speak in cliches but i think its so true that when one door closes, another opens, so just go with the flow and try to get excited about what might be just around the corner! :D

i was kinda lucky - only been with the cmpny for 18 months so only a months salary due! So to get offered sumfink else so quick was like 'thank the lorrrrd!!!!' :D

yeah they do, my boyfriend is being made redundant and should be getting a payment, we used to joke that we wanted redundancy for the payout but when it actually faces you....well, carefull what you wish for folks. :roll: :cry:

True, the ideal case with redundancy is that it happens when one is about to leave the job anyway, as happened to me.
