normally its 1-3ft from the back here, but when an epic hurricane swell comes in it can get 10ft+ from the back, its sometimes clean aswell. Sweet.

Averaged its prob 3ft

Winter: 4-5ft average

summer 1-2ft average.

Thing is you get some massive ground swells comming in sometimes.. it was only early just That I went out in a 10ft storm surge. Had a wicked session at CombesG :D

all based on average.

summer 1-3 feet (this summer flat) acually most summers flat

fall 3-4ft (looking to be good this year)

winter 3-4ft (hopefully good this year)

spring 3-5ft (this year it was horrible).

This is based on New Smyrna. You can't garuntee anything with the area because every year it seems to change. Even the tides seem to change. Sometimes High tide is nice and vise versa.

Is this from behind the wave or from the front?

If it is from the front than its average around 1ft to 4ft but storms do kick up the size. We just had 1 last weekend and it was kool.

I surf Fire Island/Montauk (Islip area). the waves section, a bumpy sandy bottom, and the waves never get over over-head (until hurricaine season hits then it gets to maybe dbl-trpl OH). on a good day it will be glassy and 3-5 feet.
