Ding repair - London

Does any know where I can get a ding repaired in London. I picked up a small ding, about 1inch square but also about 1/2inch deep last week. Naturally I need to fix it but as I live in London I'd like to get someone to do it whilst I'm here rather than wasting precious surf time when I'm next at the coast.

Looking on the web I have only so far found results for ding repair kits. I could try this but am kinda new to surfing and have never tried to do use one of these kits. Are they easy?

Pretty much nowhere in London

Where are you? I'm in london and while I'm no expert shaper, Ive done a lot of ding repairs (including some pretty horrendous British Airways induced ones...) and I can give you a hand if you need help.

That would be cool. I'm based in Vauxhall which is pretty central.

Is it an epoxy or 'normal' board? I've done both, but 'big' repairs are easier on PU boards than epoxies. Although the ding you've described isnt big, so it shouldnt be a problem either way.

And what colour is the board? Colour matching can be a right pain.

Nice and simple plain white. It's a normal custom minimal. Made by Broadwalk

You're welcome to drag your board over to mine (Im near richmond) and we can soon patch it up. 8)

Having said that, the kits are a doddle to use - you could easily do it yourself (unless the ding is somewhere really inconvenient. Rails, noses and tails can be a bugger) but I'll happily give you a hand if you want one for your first ding repair.

A garage with a power supply and sander are dead useful too, and I just happen to have one of those too

Yeah, that might work. :D I go down to Richmond occassionally to walk the dog! Not around for a few days but how about Sunday 2nd Sept? Are you going to home?
