Where would I find historical sea temperatures at surfing spots?

I see magicseaweed is showing historical swells n' that, but I couldn't see any temperatures.

I'm looking to be going away in October (not sure where yet, Europe/N Africa) an am contemplating buying a shortie.

Any pointers?

check out defra or cefas websites im pretty sure i saw some thing on there about sea temp history going back a fair few years

cefas have data going back to 91 avalible on there site but only for the UK not sure about where to find data on africa

If the places yer going to are popular tourist areas, mos travel websites (Virgin and the like) have air and sea temp guides. I normally use Virgin if I'm trying to find out what its gonna be like

Should be, but depends on the air temp too. Dont get too exicited though - 22 degrees sadly isn't like sinking into a warm bath. :roll:

22degrees feels 'a bit cool' as you walk in (in shorts, obviously) and then feels pleasantly ambient once you're in

A shortie is fine for Devon and Cornwall in the summer, you can even get away with boardies on a warm sunny day.

I was thinking more, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Canary Islands.

I lived in Wales for 3 years and would recommend it.

I'm going to Thurso in September, so having one holiday at home.
