a rashguard offers just about zero warmth. Im not sure you could get a wetsuit for under $40

heres some advice: save your money until you can afford a good one. with a couple of exceptions most of the used ones you'll find will probably be worn out or not fit that good. thats the case around here at least.

Exactly, Ask for an early Christmas present or birthday. $40.00 aint going to get you quality and your going to want quality.

Dont jump at one because its cheap either, it has to fit or its useless.

A poor wetsuit that fits is better than a flash one that doesnt.

You may want to read this:
https://surfing-waves.com/wetsuit.htm

Besides what they have Body Glove, Rip Curl and check out X-Cel. I have heard they (X-Cel) are a little cheaper but are very good suits.

Here is the suit I was thinking about that X-Cel makes. Since your in FLA. You wont need any more than the 3/2
http://www.xcelwetsuits.com/surf/index. ... a=products
On the left hand side click on wetsuits then.....Go down on the left hand side of the page and click on
X Flex 3/2, 4/3, 5/4 Fullsuit

I just went to one online shop and they are $144. Go to surf shops in a hurry and get last years models on sale. Hurry up though they will probably be getting this years in about a month or so maybe less. You maybe able to get it for $100 or maybe less now.

I just hate thinking in 2 1/2 months I am going to have to put on a wet suit :(

Garage sales. Yes, you'll have to visit a lot, but around here (not even a surf town) I usually see a wetsuit at about 1 in 10 garage sales. Rummage sales even better.

To give you an idea of the prices. I bought one at a garage sale for $4, decided I didn't need it, and sold it on consignment at the local surf shop for $80 (I got $68 of that).
