It's safe to go back when your with a couple of your surf buddies. Just make sure you can paddle faster than they can.

Posted: Thu Jul 26, 2007 3:05 pmTigers are pretty bad though. Tigers and Bulls generally are the main killers/serious injurers of humans. Maybe give it a couple of days if the coast guard doesn't close off the beaches.

was in near Hanauma Bay on Oahu
just got back from there, dude got bit on his calf

Worldwide there are fewer than 100 shark attacks every year and just a handful of deaths.
Against that, 1,600 people are bitten by other people in New York every year, 150 die from coconuts falling on their head and more people are killed by dogs in the U.S. each year than have been killed by Great Whites in 100 years.
