Calling South West Surfers

DBB, Phil, PW.
I have to make the call in the next couple of days as to where to head for a weeks holiday.
Looking at the long range pressure charts it looks like high pressure may be dominent next week with the low pressure systems tracking further north than of late. Will these systems still generate a wave in the SW.
It would be nice to get down to the SW but i have to juggle the family holiday with the surf option. If the early indicators hold true the East Coast should be ok if the lows produce a small wave for the SW that would be the best bet for a family hol.
Thanks
Mark

hard to tell mate, theres going to be a wave this week possibly going into next week, looking at the pressure systems at the moment there are some lows forming in the atlantic but its not looking like they will deepen and send us some nice swell at the moment. but all could chance, just a hard one to call for next week deepends what those lows do

LOADS of breaks will be workng this week and into the weekend down here in Kernow.
So dffo somting fo the first bit of your hol if you start it this comming weekend. Long range wise thoese systewms will send enough for the Kernow coasts to pick up dispite it being a NW swell. Hard to tell on wind but there is always an option here.

Cheers Phil, PW.
Don't need to make the final call till about Wednesday, and then spend all day Thursday trying to find accomodation.
Going to head wherever has the best swell/weather options so could be anywhere UK, but a trip down the SW is favourite with everyone else.

Right decision day.
As i see it the SW will have small onshore surf next week, but those winds are pretty light, surely they aren't going to mess things up too much. The weather will be fair and in general sunny, part cloud.
East Coast small super clean 2-3ft range surf, at the start of the week at least with shitty weather.
Have i called the SW right?

not sure, the wind was only small yesterday, but the waves weren't fully clean, 2-3ft sounds nice, but then there should be a bigger swell here in the South, but may need a sheltered spot? not sure

I'm a bit out of practise
Looks positively autumnal out there at the moment.
An unusual bit of weather, so anyone's guess what's going to be happening by the middle of next week. But looking at the longest range charts I know of, it could be dangerously close to flat by the middle of next week

Ah, okay, just for kitey -
'Looking like next week could be a cracking week of epic summer surf - headhigh, 17s period, gentle offshores blowing off the continent raising the temperatures to a balmy 28 degrees, and blue skies without a cloud in the sky. UK beaches are also expected to be almost entirely empty as, due to the recent inclement weather, the entire UK beach-going population has got on a plane and flown out to the med. In a desperate attempt to regain custom, pubs are expected to be giving away beer for free.'

Oh if only DBB.
I can't bloody decide, probably SW for that extra few degrees air temp. Plus i've a mate down in Aggy i haven't surfed with in quite a while. Grrr...what to do. It would be an easy decision if the North Sea didn't keep throwing down good clean swells.

SW - You'll have fun playable warm waves for the begingin and by the end of the week will be a heafty swell pulse arriving which will make alot of spots work. Can't call it on how it will wrap op S.Kernow but htats the bigest potential for clean by the end of the week.
