Surfing Buddies

Postby DODGE » Thu Jul 19, 2007 3:49 pm

I have moved to Newquay with my wife and kids , spent the last year learning to surf and really enjoy it , the problem is that it is hard to find surfing buddies, when your a kid this is easier but at 33 and working 50 hours it is near on impossible.I cannot be the only person in this predicament , is their a site where you can meet people of similiar ability and age who want other people to go surfing with :D

I'm 30!

A pretty rubbish surfer (I like to class myself as intermediate)!

Surf alone (I'm a miserable sod)!

And live at the other end of the UK!

Good luck!

If you can't find anyone surf buds, take your wife & kids. I took my family surfing on Father's Day and we had a great time. My wife packed a picnic lunch, kids had fun trying to surf a little. As long as you can squeeze 2-3 hours without them getting cranky and tired though you should be ok. Get cleaned up after surfing and take them out to dinner somewhere nice. Kids should be tired out from day at the beach so they'll fall asleep early. Probably get some action from the wife that night as well because you fed her a good dinner. Lets see surf, spend quality time with kids, get a good dinner and then get laid! Now that is a perfect day isn't it! :-)

hey there. I'm 28 and I go surfing in newquay quite a bit (well, considering I live in Sussex - once/twice a month and regular week long holidays!) Unfortunately I'm away all summer but I'll let you know next time I'm down that way!
