Yeah, its a fake although the guy did generally surf the wave (think it was Waimea) but it was cut into film of a hurricane.

It's a real wave at waimea, but just cut into the scene.
It's funny though, the wind would be heavy onshore if it was a hurricane, but the spray from the wave means it must be offshore or light winds?!?!

It breaks too hollow for the first section to be mavs. Also the colour of the water isn't poo brown.

Yeah, It was for a powerade advert; cause alot of controversy and was banned. I guess they thought kids would try and imitate it or something!
