Surfing Waves

Surf rage is pretty common. Even more when you surf a crowded spot. Any body got some surf rage storys. Here a a few of mine-
1 Surfing down at Kings on day and this Biach drops in on me recking my wave.So the next set I burn her back. She goes

2 This bodyboarder drops in, I oli onto his back and proceed to ride him to the shore. Needless to say he didnt do that again.

Then again, Cactus really is over commerciallised... Castles has been grinding 12+ lately and when it isn't Caves has been pretty good. Rafters has been insane ocasionally too and would be the sh1t if it was running...

haha yeah u come other here and try and surf in the uk where it is crowed a good wave here is like finding a needle in a hay stack so when there is a good wave everyone is there

Yeah, I've felt the rage myself. Held a grudge with this one guy for about 6 months... Finally got over it after I whomped his ass on three different waves. Felt so good, but he deserved it.

I always show respect to other surfers, when I'm on the outside and there's a nice wave coming I'd like to ride, but someone is out just a tad further, I always ask which way they are going to go so as not to interfere with their ride. I've missed plenty good waves because of that. Snakes must die. Period.

I give respect until someone proves they don't deserve it. Then, no holds barred.

95% of surfers are respectful, the other 5% are generally the arrogant types who think they own the break. They don't deserve respect until they earn it, most of which never do. If there is a snake in your wave, you can either let it get away with it, or take action and avoid possible snake/injury in future. Male or female, no matter. Sometimes that's the only way they learn. I'm all for courtesy, but snakes must die.

theres 8 or 10 older, good surfers at our break that get the most respect and choice of waves. a couple of 15 or 16 year olds were at our break on july 4th, and both tried to cut off one of the older guys. the older guy laughed and cut the kid off so he couldnt catch it. i dont think those kids caught a wave for the rest of the day.

if someone is closer to the peak of the wave than me, than i ALWAYS give it to them. even if i dont like them, because i hope they would do the same thing for me. and i try to get out of peoples way when im paddeling out too. nobody likes geting their ride cut short.

they only surf rage ive personalyl experienced is when some A-hole who didnt know what he was doing caught thrown around in a wave that i was duck-diving under. he smashed into my hand and tore the skin off all my fingers where iwas holding the board. then he yelled at me for getting in his way. also, that same day some longboarder yelled at me for getting in his way, but i was no where near him and he was looking for an excuse to why he sucked so bad. no offense against longboarders, their almost always the most mellow guy i see out there.

Yea in Queensland it is bad, but still, it makes you as bad as the rest.
