Are there any midwest surfers on this board? I've tried inland surfing behind my wakeboarding boat but I'd like to try it for really on lake michigan or superior. Any suggestion for good spots.

Later,

Chad

You called so I'll answer. I live in Illinois too, I love to surf, and the closest body of water I have to me is a muddy river. I haven't surfed on the Lakes yet but planning on it. I found a website with some pretty good spots and pix to prove it.
coastalbc.com/surf/newgard/index.htm should give you something to go off of. Hope it helps...

yes, we are out here. I'm in the heartland where the surf is flatter than the land. But when the storms brew, watch out. I learned to surf in california, and miss surfing greatly. I take surf trips a few times per year (Costa Rica, Hawaii, California, FL, etc.) to keep sane.

I used to live in california, I moved, and it drives me crazy to live in texas now, ive tried wake-surfing behind a boat, and ive found out that you need a very floaty board, because the wakes don't have much push, and get as many people as you can to sit on one side of the boat, tilt up the bow, and slow down. You can get some decent sized wakes like that, but like I said before you really need a long board.
