surfing the waves in the wave pool

There is this thing you can do at typhoon lagoon where you pay a thousand dollars to get the whole wave pool rented after hours to surf. I am considering it and I was wondering if anyone has ever done it before? Or even the lessons they have there too.

So how was it? How many waves/hour? And yes, the west coast has been so bad this summer that I'm considering going to Florida to rent a wave pool...but for "Work" purposes.
