Hi all hows it going,
This is a problem i,v had in the past from wearing my booties for say 5 hours i'v been geting water loged feet, which has been causing me a lot of pain. So i stopeed wearing them put up with cold feet and had no problems.
On sunday the swell was that big I had to wear them to stop my feet getting riped to shreads on the stones and guss what monday morning I had painfull sore feet.
I made sure I dryed and talked my feet after the session but still got bad feet.
My booties are sealed so I,m gussing because its the same water in them all day and its causing the problem.
I was thinking of melting (with a cigy) a few small holes in the soal so water could drain out and be replaced with fresh water.
Does any one think this will work and has any one else had the same problem?

I thought that booties were meant to keep the water out, not let it in?

not had the same problem from booties, but I did get trench foot (or 'immersion foot' if you want to be PC!) a few years ago....hurts like flesh (or in this case, rotting flesh!

)....you really don't want it! Plus you can't get your feet wet for weeks until it's healed properly

Booties let a bit of water in just like your wety!
This is doin my head in coz it stopped me surfing for 6 weeks last time.
I dont think its trench foot because my feet dont smell, they just get realy sare and red

maybe ask your doctor? i get skin problems sufing at a poluted area by me, and the doctor gives me a cream to prevent the pain and rash' after surfing there, though i have seen boots for sale with holes in them already (made for summer surfing, on reef) which look quite good.

Probably a silly response, but do you rinse your booties regularly? Spray a bit of disinfectant inside them on occassion? This may help. Otherwise, do consult your pysician, but no, I would not put holes in my booties.

Yep bin the doctors and he said it was from wearing foot wear what make my feet sweat, so I trough out all my old trainers only wear flip flops and talk and dry my feet properly,
It only happens when I wear my wety boots, I poor boiling water in them when I get home and use detaol disinfectent
the water is clean ish (nort walse) I dont want to buy another pair coz the same would proberly happen. I think it has got to be down to water loged feet so I mite try puting flush holes in the sole of my boots
