Sea Ulcers, urrghhh!!

Hello everyone Ive recently cut my foot surfing now the sea water seems to stop it healing and the hole gets deeper kind of like a little crater, nice hey!! has anyone got any tips to help apart from staying out the sea (thats not gonna happen) and is this normal or just my weird foot.

Well to help it heal you need to keep it clean and water proofed !!. Get some of that spray on bandage stuff, apply before surfing so the scab stays in place and dry.
Do remember though if its a big cut/open sore .....stay out of the water until its healed.

stay out the water. Otherwise you will get a scar i have 2 nice big scars because i didnt get out the water the 3rd cut i stayed out for 3 days and no scar

Sea Ulcers suck! They will scar if you don't look after them, my feet are a mess, scars everywhere. Had one cut for a whole month in NZ, caught it on the reef & it never healed. Obviously the best thing to do is stay out of the water which sucks, otherwise cover it with loads of waterproof plasters, but take 'em off as soon as you get out to get some air on it. Seems to heal ok that way.

Thanx for the advice i will try the water proof bandage failing that the old trusty plaster.
