anyone catch the live cast on billabongpro.com?
have to say one of the best events in the last while plus chopes was pumping, hobgood pipping mick at the post...... classic stuff

i saw it...but Chopes was NOT pumping, they had to postpone the event extra days then were originally given because the swell was so small (for Tahiti keep in mind).
Didnt catch the final but it must have been sweet considering how well Fanning has been surfing and still lost. Damien rules Teahupoo though.

Yeah i caught it too. The trials of the conmp were held in pumping chopes but the main event although by my standards were pumping waves were not pumping by chopes standard! They were only 4-5ft waves tops.

yeah from the pics it does look like the final had some swell. It looks like Fanning might actually pull it off for the the Aussies this year. What do you guys think?

just caught that on TV today, it was sooo sweet, you must have got to have cohones grandes to surf there, or just be slightly crazy but love to surf.
