I can't believe you live right on the beach! Amazing!!! I think if I were you I'd just sleep all ready to surf the next day and roll out of bed every day feeling like a lucky dog! Hey the pics are cool and make it feel like we are right there with you! The pier-emergency turn is a little scary though.

And, now you're famous! 8) Cool!

a "small" day? looks great to me and im from hawaii damnit. we only get surf like that maybe once a month on the south shore. north shore is not an option. that looks about 2-3 feet less than perfect size to me. close enough

dont you think youd get jaded to it? i can understand why people who cant go as often get so excited about it. but if you lived on the beach, things would be different. i would probably visit/swim/relax/play with my dog/smoke a spliff there every day but i would only surf when the waves are nice.

In my case, I doubt it. I'm pretty into the outdoors. Where I live is beautiful and I must think at least once a week that I'm lucky to be here too. Just rolling countryside with horses and cows and gorgeous trees. Beautiful. Somehow I think I would always feel lucky to be in California too if I lived there. This guy, imho, has it made! 8)

Otter! correct that is southside in OB - on a good day if you can connect through the pier on the otherside you get some amazing long rides :D

Isaluteyou,

Great pictures, I use to surf OB and Sunset Cliffs back in the 70's and 80's. The cliffs bring back old memories. Surfing Sunset Cliffs was a lot of fun and a nice change from the beach break washing machine. The only drag was the kelp that kept fouling my leash.

Keep the stoke. :D
