After doing some research on my own and personal experience I have come to a debacle that I would like to see what you other boardriders out there think. After researching the obivious beginnings of skateboarding which do you peopel consider better, the old school style of skateboarding when it was actually more like a stylish sport with more fluid and radical manuevers, or more modernish skateboarding, involving many techinical tricks?

I have decided personally myself that I am going to try to revive the radical carving style of street boarding (with waveboards/longboard skateboards) because personally I think it's time to bring it back to its roots. 8)

When I skateboarded I used to do all the old skool stuff, I think it's alot more fun than flipping your board around. I also bought a really old skateboard that is made out of plastic on ebay for about $6. It doesn't ride to well, but it flexes so much.

I got my first skateboard in the seventies and it was very much a Dogtown kinda board. I'm thinking of getting back into it a little and if i do it will definately be back to those carving days. Loads of big hills where i live.

I've always had more fun on a longboard than on skateboard.. I can kick/heelflip, popshuv it, and a couple of slides and rails that's all, but it's always too much pressure on landing a trick and that takes away from the fun, in my opinion.

But hey, for each it's own, eh?
