Fins

Postby oldiebeginner » Sun Apr 22, 2007 6:34 pm

Hey Papa W or any other B-boarders.

Does wearing fins actually make a difference when body boarding?
If so whats a decent pair that i can get that will make a difference.

Cheers, OldieB

I've done a bit of body boarding and fins are a must if you want to progress.

Dont need to spend much, £25 for a set is about right but definatly get some fin socks to stop rubbing and keep you warm. Oh and get some ankle straps to save loosing them too

Yes they do. The generate speed and can do so very quickly, giving you the edge when catching waves. As most spongers tend to ride wedgy hollow waves, fins are a must, look at any top rider, they all wear them.

Pods are widely regarded as one of the best www.podfins.com.au but you can pick a cheaper pair up for £25 onwards. Pretty much all the BB brands have some sort of top end fins.
