Had a boat (actually it was more like 1/2 a hobie cat) with wings out each side... so... bright idea.... drill holes in 2 old boards, and strap them onto the wings so the boat is easier to sail.
it kinda worked, but the boards were totally, completely, comprehensively ruined for ever.

Posted: Thu Apr 19, 2007 3:11 pmSnapped the nose off two boards. One at Praa & one at Runton.
We had a guy come in the shop last summer with a snapped board for a repair. When I asked him how it happened he said that he had put it on his roofrack ready to be strapped up and his mum came out chucked a huge suitcase ontop of it thinking it would be okay to strap the two to the roof!

Posted: Fri Apr 20, 2007 3:32 pmi snapped a fin right off my board once , took a bunch of the board with it,lucky it was only a cheap 2nd hand it now sits in my room all smashed up n everything, its got some teeth marks where a mate thought he could bite a chunk out of it
