That's my mom's job. :D

Swaylocks.com helped a lot and the JC Hawaii videos. I spent almost $1000 for everything you could possibly need for shaping and glassing and enough materials for 2 boards. You don't need to spend that much though.

Wow

I didn't know anyone on this forum was into shaping. Ive never done it or seen it (until now) looks pretty good. Whats the next step? Do you design it yourself now?

Hmmmm, perhaps the bend he's refering to is the rocker xs...... :?

How can you possibly get a blank with a bent stringer?
Ive seen custom stringers put into longboards where more than one stringer is used which are bent for asthetics but as for having a blank with a bent stringer......

I saw pics of f^*cked up blanks from China...stringers were all crooked...really messed up.
(I don't recall were I saw them though.)
But, that's what you get for trying to get cheap blanks from China!

As driftingalong said, you can get crooked stringers, they're not always straight and sometimes can be really bent out of shape.

I cant see how you can get a bent stringer either.

Surfboard blanks are usually made by pouring a mixed resin into a mould either by computer or by hand. Generally they make each side of the board then glue the stringer to one side then glue it to the other and they cut stringers out of big sheets of wood so theres bound to be inaccuracies.

One of the blanks I got had about a 1/4" bend in the stringer at the nose. It wasn't a big deal, but I dropped a straight line on the bottom so I wouldn't work off the stringer as my center line.

Looks nice! Did you shape it in the bedroom?
