Surfing Waves

Hey all .. just a quick nod to ask if anyone comes from or near a lil' place called Broome (NW Oz) ..looks like im heading out there by the end of the year to see family so any info on the place would be good :wink:

Best bet for a surf if you are staying in Broome is a short drive to nearby Carnarvon or Exmouth. By outback standards this is virtually next door - being only around 10-15 hours.

Peak season in Broome itself is around July... You'll need a Mal and want to track Cyclones.

Check out a history of the Cable Beach (Broome) web cam.

Mind you I could be wrong, just never heard of any surf around Broome. Sort of like Adelaide (dammit).

.. " yeh, i'd kinda got the idea from my cuz that surfing was bit of a non-starter around cable but loved the idea of being able to take a motox pretty much right onto a few beaches and do a lil scuba bizniz instead :wink:

As long as i 'step into the liquid' then im a happy pappy .. and if it all does work out in a few years time and i bail to Oz, then i'll be able to fly to my best budz for surfing .. he and his Brizzy Gf' have just moved to 'Byron bay' is it ?.. my geography sux but im guessing thats the East coast

My cuz has got a place in Broom and somewhere further down the West coast ... ummm ... ah man .. whats it called ..wheres a damn map when you need one ... its a girls name ?!! lol thats as close as i can get lolol
