Monday actually. It's a stupid holiday in my opinion, well at least the way everyone celebrates it. We just have a million weekend car dealership sales and the damn postal service doesn't bring me my mail.

Posted: Mon Feb 19, 2007 8:45 pmIn the US. today (Monday) is a holiday. The public schools are closed, postal service and Gov't jobs. Probably 50% of private corp. have today as a paid holiday. But the U.S is so far behind on the UK and Europe for paid vacation. Even Asia and Japan are now getting more vacation than U.S. employees. Problem with my job is when I take a day off, work piles up and I have to work alot of overtime when I return. My work can't be delegated and the program mgrs don't do a very good job at assessing schedules to encorporate sick/vacation time. Stinks but I think that is probably the norm in U.S. ...back on surfing subject, just got my sticker in the mail I ordered..."Better to have a bad day surfing than a good day at work!" Priceless...just not sure whether to stick it on the board, my junker of a car or put it up at my desk at work. Probably wouldn't help with getting a raise though if I post it at work.

Posted: Mon Feb 19, 2007 9:30 pmThe weather has been amazing in So Cal this last Saturday. I thought of moving away from the coast but I don't think I could ever do it.
