more resin or Q cell

I got a ding on my Christmas board which is a bummer :( but this time I got an idea on how to fix it and a pretty good repair kit. My question is since I already filled the ding with Q-cell mixed with Resin and a coat of resin over that. I misjudged the amount needed and now I still have a dip in the ding, should I add more resin or make another batch of Q-cell to fit into the dip?

I would say resin since youve got a decent foundation of resin and q-cell already but don't quote me on that, its probably completely wrong!

well, you gotta judge just how much more resin it will need to be flush with the normal level of the board. If it's gonna need a lot of resin you'll add weight and it may not stick very well if the resin contains styrene (most repair kits do) unless you sand thoroughly between coats of resin. It's also difficult to get a nice smooth surface if you need to put on multiple coats of resin.

I guess if you need to put on multiple coats of resin to get rid of the ding, you would be better off adding more q cells, otherwise, just slap on a bit more resin if it's only slightly low.

It may add some weight if I just add more UV sanding resin, so should I just mix in some Q-cell, then use like a finger bit of resin to put on over that?

you could, and that would probably be fine. Just sand down the resin you put on earlier before adding more q-cell.
