From what Chris posted on MySpace recently, the guy was named Charlie and is a valued friend and (i think) colleague of Chris's. I also think Chris was out there when it happened but was unable to help and witnessed it happen.
my condolences to chris and charlies family
:hugs:

It is always sad when someone goes before there time. My prayers go out to the family and friends.
It is a reminder to me to always live my life in way that I can meet my maker at anytime.

Thanks everyone for your comments, it does help reading them. He was a good friend and also a work collegue as well as my kitesurfing buddy.
I shall miss him dearly especially on the drive to and from work every day as we used to lift share and talk about nothing else other than kitesurfing.
To my good friend charlie who passed away doing what he loved most of all.
