Any Lincolnshire surfers out there???

Postby derbyshire surfer » Thu Jan 25, 2007 7:23 pm

Hi,

I used to live on the East coast (U.K), and was just wondering if anythings happening over Skegg/Mablethorpe these days? I mainly surf up Cayton way now, just considering giving that part of the world a trip sometime?

Give me a shout if theres anything going on...is CooGee still trading?

C'ya

Yep Coogee's still about, most of the surfings done at mablethorpe, sutton on sea, sandilands and skeggy!

Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you?
I'm in Sheffield along with a lot of other inlanders, never make the Lincs coast as its seems to be so fickle, but if you fancy a lift share upto Scabs give us a shout.
Lincssurfer, never made Sutton the appointment was cancelled. Shame as its allways nice to surf somewhere different, even if its brown :D

Seriously! I work every other weekend so planning on getting over soon. Where do you live? In Skeg? I could do with a reliable pair of eyes over there!

I live in derbyshire too!!!! thought i was a loan creature of the surf in this landlocked area. I venture into sheffield on a regular basis - theres a small posse that treks out to the coast in all weather - usually in old vw's!! I'd offer anyone a lift to the coast, but you gotta be a tough cookie as there aint no heatin in my van and theres more hole in it than a sieve!! And my dog would probabley sit on your knee, so as long as you dont have a dog allergy you'd be ok!

Hi retrofish, I used to work in Matlock Bath! Just got back from a trip to Cornwall and then Scarborough. Don't know if you've left for France yet? How many of you go away and where are you all from? I live in Ilkeston.

No probs with the heating issue...I was surfing Scabs a couple of weeks ago when it was snowing!

it's just usually me and the dog - if its the birds day off she might come along. i try and get as many as i can but it's usually just me!!!! the heatings not the problem - initiation is to be in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops for the outward, inward journey and thats fecking cold when you've been in the merky water, when it's snowin- minus hood gloves and boots...........i just never learn!!
