Surfing Waves

I thought getting to san diego was gonna be so great. but the surf really is nothin special. wheres all the surf i always here about?

up the coast... this time of year surf depends on storm systems in Alaska. Surf gets bigger as you head up the coast... Mavericks, is up near San Fran.
Also depends on the beach you are at in San Diego area there is probably close to 100 or so miles of beaches.

not to mention you are basing your judgement on such a short span of time and the fact that that the december swels were nothing special this year (oops last year )
