Whats the funniest thing you've seen when surfing?

I'm not sure if this is an old topic or not. Also I don't think anyone getting seriously hurt should be considered funny. Here's my story to share:
Last summer in OBX, NC. An overweight middle aged man about 40-45 said bye to his family on the beach on a $15 cheap foam bodyboard he probably bought at the local souvenier store earlier in the day. He went paddling out into about 4-5 ft surf (pretty decent day for summer). He clearly had little to no experience. Needless to say he ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and didn't know anything about duckdiving at all. Needless to say he flipped over the barrel backwards...board went shooting up in the air. He walked out the water rubbing all of the sand out of his shorts, gasping for air because he was all out of shape. Then he sat down next to his overweight, sunburnt wife and popped open a beer. In the water for a maximum 1-2 minutes, rode zero waves and flipped backwards into a pounding whitewash. My brother and I were in tears laughing for at least 10 minutes. Luckily the OBX is sandybottom so aside from a few bruises or sore muscles, I'm sure he was fine. His ego was probably a little shattered though.

No picking on us old guys. It is pretty funny to see someone step into the water thinking it is easy and then watching them see how difficult it is. I love watching first timer tying to sit on thier board.

On a busy day in VaB, it was a typical summer day, when it's pretty much a huge parking lot filled with semi-pro locals, kooks, and everything between.
So I was pretty much slalom surfing, if there were ever such a thing. But I saw one guy air over some kook on a raft who didn't bother moving for him. I can't decide if that was the sweetest or funniest thing I've seen.

I saw the title of this thread and knew... just knew.. that Phil would be in there with that!
One small error (okay, it was actually a combination of about twelve really big ones) and will he ever let me forget it? No.
Looking forward to the new year and destroying... sorry, testing... your fresh new longboard!

Aw kitey that's just mean!!!
Mine's gotta be watching a pair of "quite" (ok, read enormously!) large girls trying to help each other get wetsuits on....it soooo wasn't gonna happen! I know, I'm just horrible, but it was pretty entertaining!
