Hi all,

Looking to head east in the new year, over to Norwich, i want to take my board for some winter surf, but have never surfed this area before, would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction for a decent spot :D

Many thanks,

Most obvious places are Cromer (either side of the pier) and East Runton. Hope the wind blows some swell down from the north tho...

Well the weather (if they can be believed) are saying we are going to be getting systems off russia and norway so if we do get any it will be cold.

The E-Anglia coast works on northerly swells, but can also pick up localised windwaves from a SE blow. The swells fom the north can be affected by the huge offshore sanbar that protects the coast down there, but yes East Runton, Cromer, n Gorlston pick up any swell thats going. Plus there are a few reefs down that increase the size of any swell.

Actually Gorleston has been really xxxxx for the last few years, and that sucks especially since I live there :x ! Only time G-stone's worth a look is when its huge(relatively speaking!) and blown out everywhere else.

We've only been getting southerlies recently and so all southern secret spots have been the go - but even they've been less impressive than they used to be.

These I took the other day at Emily's on a south swell.
