Where abouts in Thailand? Come in June-October and you'll get some surf.
Australia...duh!..of course...
Japan is epic.
Bali..well..happens to be the most popular surf destination in the world.
India, fairly unkown but possibly awesome waves (from the swell charts i've seen) If not india then Sri Lanka has awesome surf.

I never would have thought about India or Sri Lanka for surf. But they are on an ocean sooo....
Will have to research this so I can sleep at night.

Was in the Army a long long time ago, and my first experience of surfing was seeng the Penguins and Porpoises surfing in what, looking back was 8ft surf in the Falklands. A real David Attenborough moment. Although we were a little naughty and cornered a penguin so we could see if it had feathers. It did feel like a bird though but a lot less mobile.

Yeh man, ditto the above about serving your country. There are too many people who would like the old world peace stuff, but without the poeple like you and el_timmo, i presume your a Navy lad, and anyone else who is serving their country it would be impossible, welll done guys.

My Nephew is due to go to Afganistan in the New Year, how bad is that! When i was in it was in the Army, between the Falklands and The first Gulf war, nothing was really going on in the world, thankfully. But i had a lot off friends out there in Desert Storm, i wrote them but I didn't really get what was going on then let alone now!
