Bodyboarding question- enough speed?

I was just wondering if all waves can be bodyboarded,
since you cant pump like you can on a surfboard is it even possible to surf places like j-bay and uluwatu?

Im only asking because its one of the main reasons i took up stand up surfing and their never seem to be any long rides in bodyboarding films.
( I know its because punchier waves allow for more powerful manouvers, but at least a few full rides would be nice )

Is there any way to pump on a bodyboard or just trim, noone has ever really tried it that i know.

Thanks

for thoese phat waves use a slightly longer and/or thicker board for mroe boyancy. And life the legs out to reduce drag. that will help on thoese shockingly lame phat waves if thats what you really want to surf.

you can bodyboard most waves in fact bodyboarding is far more versatile than surfing in terms of what you can actually ride.

Theres no pumping as in surfing sense. But to generate speed you should be trimming moving up and down the wave for that extra boost.

Also dont leave the bottom turn too late or you will lose all your momentum and speed
