yep, guy coming one way me coming the other, i saw him at the last moment as i was turning at the top of the wave and tried to get as straight coming back down as i could, i guess he didnt bother and just came directly at me. Never saw him take off so i dunno if he was up first or whos right of way it was but that doesnt matter now. Gettin it fixed by Chris Beynon the guy who made the board, it wont cost much. I have neither the time or skill to repair it myself and i know he'll do a good job of it.

Something similar happened to me before, I took off on this left and he took off on this right, but we never hit each other by the end of our waves. Still thats quite a nasty chip. Where does bunny actually work? Do you just go to Hot Dog and tell them what you want from him or just go to his house across the road?

If the swell is that big of a deal, ignore the gash and just go. Ive done it before. That's what your boards are for. Repar it later.

whoah, that is wierd.. That is the same situation i was in a few weeks ago.
A longboarder went over my board so it was getting repaired for about 3 weeks while there was nice surf
