Westerley low pressure systems

Postby northswell » Thu Nov 30, 2006 9:47 pm

Is it me or has the West had the best, it just seem to be an endless Autumn. When are the northerlies going to get the East Coast cranking. Apart from a few short lived classic swells when was the last long period swell you surfed?

Eastcoast has been cranking...

As for westcoast.. sure the winter transition lows have been WELL LOW! I saw 950mb at one point... thatre really low! Makes sence after the sudden temp drop that the weathers gonna get all f00ked up. Its deffo been a head for shelter autaum. Nothing but southerlys here. tottaly change from last year. We had NW all the time. Was perfect for the wedge here but i've only had it 3 times this year :(

Mindyou, shouldn't complain cause I had what was a rare breaker over 10 times since september!

Yeah for sure there has been the odd day here and there but nothing more than that. Being so far from the coast can't always manage the odd cheeky one. This is Cayton a few weeks ago.

This is after its best! I'd just got warm and needed to take some picks.
