surfing East Wittering
Posted: Thu Nov 30, 2006 12:05 pmI got the afternoon off for sport yesterday, and decided to give East Wittering a try for a change from going to Bournemouth. When I got there, I was very disappointed because it just looked a hairy mess with the occasional closing out, gutless wave. I was going to go in anyway, cause I didn't drive all that way for nothing!
Anyway, I spoke to a local fellow who missed college to go surfing and he reckoned he was having fun on his fish earlier in the day, and said I would have fun too. I decided to take my HARMERGEDDON SURFBOARDS fish out that kitey made for me sinceI need to get used to it. When I got out there, I was thinking to myself "why oh why did you bother to come out?"
Anyway, to cut a very long story short, although the waves were not exactly great, the board was fleshing excellent! What a board! Takin off was easy, the board maintained its speed, and it turns great as well. It's nice and short for quick turns, but floaty enough to take off early in crap waves!
