Surfing Waves

Don't know if its happened to anyone else, but took a swan dive off my board today and hit the water at a fair rate of knots and felt my bottom eye lids filling with water, not the nicest of feelings in the world

i've never had that happen before but it doesn't sound to pleasant
i try to close my eyes right before i hit the water so something like that doesn't happen

yeah i gt that a lot when i go bodysurfing, it feels weird and im pretty sure it doesnt do your eyes much good

ya i've taken a few dives on my new board. i go for a quick cut back and i put the nose in and take a dive. it's a retro 70's board so it has less of a rocker. never got water in my eye, so i find it hilarious. can't imagin how funny it looks to everyone watching.

I love watching those type of wipe outs. Sure hate being the one when it happens.

For me its all about planing across the water with most of face above water but my nostrils submerbed. It feels like the water is going up my nose and out my ears

Yes i'm quite sure it does, in fact i usually come up (i eventually sort of sink) with a huge, if slightly confused, grin on my face. Pearling is not pretty, but its quite good fun!

I haven't done that with surfing. I did that with wakeboarding a few times though
