Why's MSW showing Fistral as '5 star' wave when its only 6.5ft, and a fairly brisk direct onshore wind? Period looks good but other than that, nothing special.

The local forecasts for cornwall are saying rubbish conditions again for sunday :(

Tricky call - depends how well that big swell wraps around ireland (damn you ireland, get out the way) and the strength of that wind, but I dont think its gonna be much. I'm sure Phil'll tell me if Im wrong

should be ok on some sheltered spots wont be epic but im hoping for at least a cheast high wave given the period and the size of the swell im guessing that it shouldnt have to much of a problem wraping round ireland and providing a semi decent wave. Wednesday keeps changing which is annoying me was forcasting offshore winds earlyer

i just ignore the star rating it never seems o work that well

IdRatherBeDrinkinGuinness, I hope you did not take what I said in the wrong way. It was meant to be good. I looked at the link you put up. Wooohoooo was meaning in other words "Sounds fantastic" Just American slang, I guess.

Yup, when it comes to surf forecasting

Means you move to the best spot rather than hoping that the easy/local/familiar spot 'will be good' and avoids wasted (five hour!) trips!

Nothing worth travelling for today... :(

(Or at least nothing is gonna be decent enough for long enough to make it worth travelling hours for)

All change on the weather front (ha ha, thats a pun) now so hopefully some more reliable waves on the way :D :D :D
See? Im basically an optimist at heart

Looking potentially sweet for up here. Could be worth the trip a little further north there.... :D
