Choosing a surfboard

Hey guys. im new at surfing but the first time i tried it i had hella fun. now here i am trying to find a surfboard. Im not really sure what kinna board i should get. im guessing a shortboard about 6'10" with a pointy nose. im not really sure what brands are good either. o and im prolly gonna buy a used one for now. but what kinna board do you guys think i should get? thanks for the help. shoot!

want a tip u have not been surfing long anouthe to go for a shortboard that quick get somthing big to start with long and big rails. or u could just rent till u get better and then move down a size til u get to where u want too

Saying that you want a pointy one tells us that any advise we give you will be ill advised becuase you will not be able to understand the benifits behind them.
