They are pretty stereotypical reasons. But i agree and they're the exact same reason i go surfing

.
Why are no other sports the same??
As quoted from 'Step into liquid' "Nobody goes and just stares at a tennis court"

To me its about living life rather than forgetting it. Im busy all the time - filling my time with unimportant stuff!
But I really feel like Im living life when Im surfing (or just in the water). Makes me feel more at peace and exhilarated than anything else (almost

), its like im doing something for pure enjoyment with great scenery and friends rather than just running on the 'life treadmill'. - That make sense?
Not eloquent enough to explain with out a VERY long ramble so I'll spare you that

well it's hard to put into words what surfing mean to me. surfing is my safe place i guess you could say, nothing can touch me when i'm out there. at the end of the day it puts my life into perspective, and give me a peace that i can find no where else.i love this sport.

Surfing is sorta like bmx riding for me.
I love surfing because i can think of only that, not school, not girls, just my next wave.
I love feeling accomplished, its so thrilling once i ride a nice wave or i do something new.
for example, last week i got tubed. It wasnt good but still. I still remember it now, i was soo happy. I love just laying on my board and seing the waves pass by. it makes me relaxed.
its exhilarating. Adrenaline rushes, just passing over a big wave is thrilling for me because im not very good.
Friends, i have a couple surfer friends and its really nice to talk to them, cheer them on.
Surfing makes me: calm, forget about everything else, concentrated, thrilled, happy, proud.

I love it. It has always been a part of me, and always will.
But, I can't stand just sitting on the beach, or in the car park, watching lush sets roll through. Drives me crazy! I imagine exactly each and every move on that wave. And I eventually just have to go in!
