well the last time i was here i was asking about shipping stuff, not that you'd remember, but anyway, now i have masking tape on the bottom of my board (which, not coincedently now has a nice 3 inch dink on both sides of my right rail). someone suggested to me to throw some lighter fluid on that and burn it off, but what do you guys think?

also any guesses on how much it'd cost to repair the stated ding? is it a DIY job?

You cannot be serious?????

What do you reckon will happen to the (petrochemical, toxic) resin????

Use patience and pick it off slowly. Or use a small amount of methylated spirits and a scouring brush and GENTLY scrub it off.

Depends on the ding. Most can be repaired DIY. You need to post a picture if you want a proper answer.
If not, then it shouldnt cost too much to get professionally repaired.
