Question for the LADIES!!

Postby oceangrrl » Thu Sep 07, 2006 6:52 am

Hey girls! (or possibly, guys)

I just got my belly pierced on saturday and i've been getting withdrawls from not surfing... How long did you wait to head back in the water? Do you wear some sort of band aid over it when surfing??

cant see why it would be a problem, after all the best way to look after a new piercing is to wash it regularly with water and sea salt. Cant imagine you would get an infection or anything, ive had loads of cuts and scrapes while surfing and never got infected.

I got my nose pierced at the begining of the summer and they advised not going in the water for a couple of weeks.

After that I went surfing and it came out after i wiped out and closed up before i could get another stud in it.

I wouldnt worry about going surfing with it....like most people have said the salt water would probably do it good.

Did it hurt by the way??

I'm not a chick, but I do love them.

But, I do have some advice, that may help.

Liquid skin, or liquid band-aid, or whatever it is called. The stuff you squirt on like glue over a cut. They make water proof stuff.
