Sounds a bit dangerous to me, cosidering the color of the water and the cr*p that it drags along with it. Saw a film once where two surfers were riding the Amazon bore , with caymen swimming near by, dont want to bail out there.......

I really want to ride the bore, but is a 7' 6'' minimal too short?

yes, you want the biggest board you can get. My bro has done it a few times and he dinged the hell out of my old mans longboard last time.
Also be aware it does get very crowded - ona busy day it makes pipe look like a secret spot.

Imagen Saunton but even phater... thats the bore. Its bacically a big surge of water rather than a wave as such.
