Support you local surf shop

Postby lardyarse » Sun Aug 27, 2006 3:27 pm

Since I started surfing about 18 months ago I have been using the same shop, Filf in Rottingdean. They have provided me with fantastic advise and provided good value for money right from the start, from the first minimal to two customs, wetsuits, general help, nice cup of tea, friendly service, ding repairs etc. etc.

Since moving to a new larger shop earlier in the year they have been running a promotion. Basically every time you spent over £15-00 you got a raffle ticket. Today they had the draw and I won this little lot. Still have a massive grin on my face. So a big public thank you to Filf and Resin8.

That's a nice board, my friend. What kind of board is it? I can tell it's a shortboard of some kind by its shape but nothing else beyond that.

Iomarti, the perspective is weird because I was standing on my daughters trampoline to take the picture

Thawkwood, It is a Resin8 6'6'' x 19'' x 2.5'' squash tail. I had the choice of any Resin8 from their range. After taking the advice of Steve, the shop owner I settled on the 6'6'', based on my surfing experience, stomach size and the other board I own.

And today we have a wave so it will be getting wet later :D
